The Role of Strategic Approaches to Drought Disaster Management:
Dr. Samuel is an Assistant Professor and Asian desk Coordinator at the Center for African and Asian Studies at Addis Ababa University.  He participated in formulating different policies and strategies, including the recently approved Disaster Risk Management (DRM) policy where he continued his support working with Oxford Policy Management as Senior DRM Coordinator for the FCDO& USAID funded Building Resilience in Ethiopia Technical Assistance program. Samuel has also been advocating for GERD, appearing on national and international print and broadcast media, defending Ethiopia’s national interest in the Nile and other transboundary resources.
